The tropics in full bloom, volume 1 opens the door to the amazing world of plants. Although no book can comprise their vast universe, I’ve been bold and presumptuous enough to give it a try, so consider this a delicious bite.

The flowering plants open the first chapter letting their forms, aromas, and colors do the talking. Followed by chapter two, where I explore a range of easy-to-care and cheerful groundcovers.

Palm trees are next. Here, you will appreciate a wide array of them, from the tiny and delicate to the soaring and gigantic ones, and how they became home, food, and shelter to an ample group of ethnicities and animals around the world.

I can keep telling you things. Yet, nothing will be as gratifying as you finding them by yourself.

Well… start the journey now.

“Turning page by page of this book, I feel great admiration for the author. I think it’s a great treasure for this generation and those to come. Landscape architects, gardeners, and all nature lovers will see in this book the wonder of God’s creation in magnificent photos. The sap of nature is wise.”

“In my professional career, I have used several references as an instrument of inspiration for my projects. The material illustrated in this book shows a captive of greenery of our Caribbean region, comprising a collection of photos exquisitely taken with a fundamental interpretation of uses among them. When you look through the first pages you will realize that this jewel will become part of your collection once you open it. It’s an essential tool for all amateur or professional related to tropical botany when searching for plants and their information.”

“When Ozzy introduces us to the world of tropical plants in his book, he makes references that go beyond being just elements of nature. He tells us about them with a more intimate and personal certainty; they are his allies, his most appreciated “buddies” that give him a unique and unconditional satisfaction: to be used, understood, and admired within the natural landscape and the one created by man. I trust that this informative compilation that abounds in personal comments and accurate photos will always serve everyone who has and feels the need to search and learn. Furthermore, I guarantee the experience of rediscovering the friendly options offered by the wonderful world of plants.”
